What creation tells us

There is a message for us inscribed by God in the heavens. It is a bombastic display of power and creativity that shouts wordlessly that there is a God who lives. Day by day it pours out its declaration to those not too busy to lift their minds and wonder at the majesty above, around and within them, can hear and respond to with thanksgiving and honor and awe and worship.

That's the theme of the first 6 verses of Psalm 19.

How dull my hearing is! How dreary and mundane is my vision of the creation compared to the psalmist intranced sight. How my soul needs to look at wonder, at the majesty revealed in what God has created. Without awe, life is colorless.

"Teach my eyes to see.
Teach my soul to desire.
Teach my will to hunger, for that which only you can supply.
Intoxicate me with Yourself O God and make my heart thirst for You. Amen."

It's easy for you to believe because of your Christian preconceptions. But what do you do when you run into a list of 300 reasons not to believe in God's existence?
I'm talking about persuasive arguments such as:
"Creation can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it and am not at all interested in studying it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable. Therefore, God does not exist."

One of our teens had a conversation with an evolutionist of such intellect. The man said he does not believe in God because of the overwhelming "proof" of evolution. Lots of it...tons! When pressed, he could not name even one shred of so-called evidence. He just tucked-tail and ran.
