A Prayer for Arboretum Visitors

A Prayer for Arboretum Visitors

Oh, see more
More than beauty and delight
Crispness and crunch

In the sunlight, see more
In the beauty of these hills,
The darkness under those pines
The breadth of these prairies
The whisper of this wind
And the play of these squirrels

Oh, see more than these
See Him, who shapes it all
Today, not less than yesterday
He shaped it all
For you and your spirit
Today He whispers too
And calls you to see more

that is a lovely poem and certainly expresses one of the ways that God speaks to me through His creation - where did you find it?

sunrise, sunset - the bain of commuters everywhere and yet, the glory of God beyond compare, shouted out against the sky
