Mother Teresa and the Priority of Life

It was Mother Teresa who said:
“We cannot fight credibly against other social and moral evils, including poverty and violence, while we tolerate mass killings by abortion.”
Ours, has been a church that has sought to fight for justice on all fronts from a biblical foundation. It is the reason why some years ago, I determined to never vote for a candidate that supported legalized abortion. It is also why I have led and embraced a church culture that spearheaded the development of our health clinic, our food pantry and our clothing pantry. It is why we made arrangements for the Will County Community Service counsel to move their housing office and resources into our building. It is why we are currently planning to bring dental care into our building and it is why our pastors and elders and trained lay counselors spend hundreds of hours a year counseling men, women and children in crisis.

Mother Teresa was right. We cannot be credible (or biblical) on any of these issues if we neglect the least of these, the unborn. My brothers and sisters, think on these things. Pray over these things. Be willing to sacrifice adn suffer over these things.
