A sexist comment (but so be it)

I drove home last night to the evidence that young boys had been active in the neighborhood. The day had been warmer, warm enough to melt the snow on the streets. I made the last turn and drove up the suddenly cleared and blackened street to a section of the road glistening with the remains of snow balls thrown, and snow trudged and stamped.

Snow walls from which boys had hidden, popping up to see where to throw the next snow ball or ducking down to avoid the last one thrown at them, gave further evidence that this land was inhabited by boys. Boys with mischief and adventure in their hearts. Boys with foolishness and joy in their spirits. Boys that make each day an adventure and challenge for their parents.

Thank God for them. And God, give us wisdom to raise them for the glory of Him and a joy to all who know them as they develop into manhood.
