Clockwork Orange Revisited

Just had my first obscene response to a blog. It reminded me of a scene from A Clockwork Orange. [Something I saw 30 years ago and still find myself repulsed by.] Had to delete it lest the anonymous coward who posted it have more opportunity to bring judgement on themselves.

Matthew 5:43-44 (ESV)
43 “You have heard that it was said,
‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you,
'Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,'

We who follow the Way of Christ have a different way of voicing our disagreements than anonymous and obscene comments on internet blogs. Pray for those who surf the web looking for ways to hurt rather than heal. Pray for those who would rather lob scornful bombs rather than engage in constructive conversation. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you or who defame the name of Christ.

One of my favorite teachers used to say that a teacher wasn't anything until their name appeared on the bathroom walls. She knew the public scrawling would be undignified, but she felt it was better to get a bad reaction than nothing at all.
And on that basis, Chosenrebel, I congratulate you! Keep rocking the boat and getting noticed! Besides, it's not your own banner that you wave...(Matt. 5:10)
